November 15th, 2017
Be recognized for your hard work and efforts in the classroom! Apply for the Tennessee Holocaust Commission Belz-Lipman Holocaust Educator of the Year Award and win a $1500 grant.
Since 1995, the Tennessee Holocaust Commission (THC) has sponsored the Belz-Lipman Holocaust Educator Award. The award recognizes outstanding educators who excel in the teaching of the Holocaust.
Each year, three educators from East, West and Middle Tennessee receive a grant which can be used to develop new curriculum, purchase resources, travel to concentration camps or museums, and attend trainings that will help further engage their students in the study of the Holocaust.
The award is open to teachers (5th-12th grade) in the state of Tennessee who have at least 2 years of experience teaching the Holocaust in the classroom.
To be considered for this year, applications must be received no later than December 1, 2017.
