Tennessee Holocaust Commission Teacher Fellows

In the fall of 2006 the Tennessee Holocaust Commission (THC) created a new program to engage outstanding teachers in the field of Holocaust education.

Twelve elite Holocaust educators from Middle, West, and East Tennessee were chosen to become THC Teacher Fellows. The goal of the program was to provide these special educators with workshops, resources, first hand experiences by interacting with survivors, and traveling to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.

The twelve educators have gone on to be liaisons for the THC in their communities and actively encourage and mentor their peers at their schools. Many have received prestigious awards and have gone on to also serve as Teacher Fellows for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

If you are teaching the Holocaust and need assistance in your area please contact THC to be linked to a THC Fellow. They will be happy to help you get started and share their experiences, lessons and resources.
