1.  Much of Eva Rosenfeld's interview centers on her family's efforts to escape the Nazi stronghold. Why was it so difficult to get out? Wouldn’t the Germans want them out? 2.  In 1936 Eva was prohibited from attending public school, and her parents lost their right to work. They moved to Italy; her brother chose to stay and finish school. Eva recalls, “It was twenty-eight years before I saw him again.” What did Eva lose by not being able to attend school with her peers? Explain.
