Prompt 1

At 8:55 in the film, Fred Westfield talked about how he feels his story is part of a much larger story. “Tyranny is a terrible thing,” he said. After you have listened to his story, write an essay that both summarizes and analyzes Westfield’s belief about tyranny connected to his experiences. Be sure to cite specific evidence to support your analysis.

Fred Westfield goes to England on a Kindertransport. The term Kindertransport was “the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940.” (source: USHMM).
