Student Ambassador Program

Goals of the program:
Initiate hosting speakers and events within your school (both in person and virtual)
- Survivors
- Second/Third generation speakers
- Liberators/Veterans
- Scholars
Participate in and promote community events in your area: Days of Remembrance, Community Speakers, others
Sponsor and participate in field trips: ie. Whitwell’s Paperclip Project, Nashville Holocaust Memorial, others
Requirements for Schools:
- One student representative per high school
- One faculty sponsor, with recommendation letter for S/A
- Support from the principal/senior administration
Requirements for Ambassadors:
- Complete and submit application through the Tennessee Holocaust Commission website and be selected by commission staff
- Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must commit to a minimum of one half-day education/training per year with other Ambassadors and Commission Staff
- Must commit to meeting once a month during the school year at either: Temple Ohabai Shalom in Nashville or virtually through Zoom.
