Please watch the Willie Hall film.  Write an essay that both summarizes and analyzes how the idea of a liberator is developed over the course of the film, including how it emerges and is shaped and refined by specific details. Cite strong and thorough evidence from the video to support your analysis.

Prompt 2

Two Tennesseans, Willie Hall and Robert Ray, Jr., were among the liberators at Nordhausen. Construct a timeline with Hall’s events on one side and Ray’s events on the other side, to graphically show these soldier’s experiences from the time they joined the Army until homecoming. Then use your research to write a compare-contrast essay about how these two experiences at Nordhausen were alike and different. Cite compelling quotations from film and transcription testimony from both Robert Ray, Jr. and Willie Hall.
